Second International Cycling Congres in Moscow
On April 14-15, 2017 the second International Cycling Congress will take place in Moscow. The main goal of the Congress is to create a communication platform for all parties interested in promoting bicycle as a transportation mode and creating comfortable and safe environment for urban cycling as well as developing tools for cooperation between government, business and public enterprises.

First Bicycle Forum in Manizales, Colombia 5-7 November2015
The First National Forum on the bike Manizales, is a global event for citizen participation led for the Office of the bike, which seeks to promote the use of bicycles as an alternative means of municipal transport and environmentally sustainable cities, with slogan "The bike is for all", supported by national and international experts from cities like Villavicencio, Cali, Bogota, Medellin and Manizales, and as Holland, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Mexico and Ecuador.
Test driving of cargo bikes during seminar for German traffic engineers
During the seminar for traffic engineers Movilization held a presentation about the potential of cargo bikes in last mile logistics. 30 up to 70 % of all transport cost are made during the last mile of delivery of goods.
Testing cargo bikes was possible during lunch time and coffee breaks.
workshops and training
Movilization provides training modules for city planners en engineers as well as for NGO's involved in sustainable mobility. Trainings and workshops can have different angles but always have an theoretical and practical component. Although the main emphasis is on cycling promotion and integration in the cities, an overall approach wherein city development and future vision on city development is included can all be parts of training modules.
Trainings can be given in the form of workshops were results are presented to the political gremium to develop a broader politiccal field in which future mobility and transport plans can be embedded.
Trainings and workshops can consist of several workforms such as lectures, fieldwork, role plays, placemaking processes and other.
Thus far trainings have been performed in many cities in Latin America, (Sao Paulo, Rio do Janiero, Florianopolis, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Barranquilla, Leon) Also the Movilization team particpated lately in a semninar training in Irkutsk in the Russian Federation. Movilization- IBC also took part in the training program cofinanced by the EU, Mobile 2020 for the training of 350 municipalities on cycling promotion in medium and small cities.
Electric bicycles all over the world are giving a new impulse to cycling. In European countries like the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium one of every 5 bikes sold is an electric bicycle.
In the first years electric bicycle mainly were bought by elderly people. Nowadays we see more and more commuters use electric bicycles instead of their car.

Bicycle highways are since 1998 developed in the Netherlands. The first bicycle highway study was done between Utrecht and Amsterdam as a bicycle highway concept of 36 Kilometers. Introduction
In The Netherlands sixteen national bicycle highways will be realized. The bicycle highways connects residential area’s with office parks and industrial area’s. These bicycle highways are parallel structures of motor highways, as an alternative for the car. It’s a program of the Dutch ministry of Infrastructure in cooperation of with the provinces, regions and municipalities.
